I thought I’d better write a short note about this and try to send a couple of pictures along with it since I’m having trouble getting pictures on the web site. We decided to do something that I never thought we’d do. We’ve enrolled Gabriel in one of the local Christian MEBSH Preschools. It’s Monday through Friday from 8 to 12 and even though I don’t know how much academics are taught, the main point is for him to learn Creole. Last year a German family moved here and enrolled their two children, Samuel and Sarah, and I am so impressed with how well Samuel can speak Creole now, that it convinced me to give it a try for Gabriel. He was excited, but a little apprehensive, especially when we went to check it out and it was the first day for the 2 ½ - 3 year olds. There were probably 15 kids bawling at the top of their lungs. Gabriel’s eyes got wide and he said he didn’t think he wanted to do this. When I explained that this was the little kids and he saw his class all sitting at their tables in another room, he felt better. Anyway, we’re praying this will go well for him and be a positive experience for him this year. We’d appreciate your prayers for him too.
